About the Role

Reporting to the Customer Service Director, you will work closely with many other parts of the business, including the logistics team, Franchises and Showrooms to ensure product is stored, inspected, and prepared for dispatch.

This role is a dual-purpose role and will be based on the road working on deliveries as well as in the showroom supporting the global logistics team and The New York sales team.

Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for processing daily inventory movements in The Rug Company's ERP system
• Responsible for completing inventory stock-takes, quarterly and as needed
• Managing Showroom Assistant and Drivers in New York
• Driving to Clients to deliver rugs
• Preparing UPS, FedEx, and DHL shipments.
• Measuring and cutting rug pads
• Loading and Unloading rug shipments.
• Wrapping and Unwrapping rug shipments.

Checking quality of the rugs that have been delivered, bringing any quality defects to the attention of Operations Manager or in his absence the Production Manager.
• Vacuuming, steaming, and cleaning handmade rugs as necessary.
• Loading/Unloading vans.
• Updating the IT system with the daily bookings.
• Assist with stock takes.
• Daily Showroom upkeep (vacuuming, watering plants, dusting, sweeping, etc)
• Health Safety compliance.

Key Skills and Qualifications
• High degree of computer literacy required
• Conscientious and hardworking team member.
• Ability to manage others
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Ability to manage schedules
• Manual handling training an advantage (training can be provided).
• Punctual and reliable.
• Computer literate including previous experiencing of shipping.
• High Level of Presentation
• Able to carry over 80 pounds in product

Bonus Qualifications
• Familiarity with SAP B1 and CRM systems preferred
• Experience in luxury retail or trade sales environments strongly preferred
