Senior MEP System Designer
Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems are critical components of modern building infrastructure.
Job Role:
We seek a highly skilled Building Automation Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain MEP systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in optimizing building performance, energy efficiency, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and Development: Create and develop MEP systems, selecting hardware and software components that meet project specifications and regulatory standards.
• Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation and setup of MEP systems to ensure they function as intended and meet project requirements.
• System Integration: Integrate MEP systems with other building systems like HVAC, lighting, security, and fire safety to create a seamless and efficient operating environment.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues within MEP systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal system performance.
• Energy Efficiency: Optimize MEP system settings and configurations to reduce energy consumption and operational costs.
• Collaboration: Work with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure MEP systems meet project requirements and building needs.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system schematics, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
Requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience in MEP system design and implementation.
• Proficiency in programming languages used in MEP systems (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, KNX).
• Strong understanding of HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
• Experience with building automation software and hardware.
• Solid background in electrical systems and circuit design.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Familiarity with energy efficiency standards and practices.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Project management certification is a plus (PMP or similar).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with effective time management.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in building systems.
