Our business is growing, and we’re lifting our commercial and finance team to further support new business and capitalise on improvement opportunities. We’re looking for a motivated and switched on finance professional with a passion for business partnering and enhancing outcomes for the business through your efforts.


The Opportunity
At Northpower, our people are at the heart of our success. As a Senior Management Accountant, you'll work closely with our Commercial Manager and key stakeholders to drive forecasting, budgeting, month-end reporting, and financial performance.
In this commercially focused role, you will:
Deliver timely and relevant financial reporting and insights
Drive improved strategic decision-making through data-led performance visibility
Prepare accurate monthly accounts for assigned business units
Provide in-depth financial and commercial commentary and analysis to business unit managers
Maintain tight control over Work-In-Progress and Debtor balances to drive strong cash performance
Support operational managers in preparing forecasts and new business projections
Challenge assumptions and ensure decisions are backed by sound financial and commercial analysis
Collaborate with national commercial managers on data and reporting initiatives
Contribute to solving business challenges, improving performance, and enhancing decision-making processes

Who we’re looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Experience in a finance or accounting role, experience in a large organisation will be viewed favourably.
Qualification in Accounting or Finance (preferably CA/CPA)
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience preparing monthly accounts, and supporting budgets and forecasts
Strong numerical, and analytical, skills
Excellent communication, stakeholder and time management skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
