Position Title: Senior Database Administrator

Core Responsibilities
Should have minimum 5 years relevant experience into Snowflake DBA and over all 7+ years as DBA.
Actively work with Snowflake support for raising support tickets and triaging outages.
Implement/support automation for production deployment in Snowflake.
Good understanding of Snowflake tools like Snowpark, Snow SQL and Snow Pipes.
Develop, build maintain mission critical centralized data platform using Snowflake.
Diagnose and troubleshoot Snowflake database errors.
Implement Snowflake user /query log analysis and alerts.
Support heterogeneous user groups from data engineers to data scientists.
Implement data encryption/decryption/masking policies to protect PII/PCI data
Implement security roles and role based policies.
Derive system metrics for consumption and utilization.
Demonstrated proficiency of index design, query plan optimization and analysis required
Build User security auditing.
Create Snowflake utilization and capacity plan.
Provide technical leadership, fosters a team environment, and provides mentorship and feedback to technical resources.
User onboarding and
On-call responsibilities on rotational basis for Snowflake database administration.
Should be able to review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time
Develop processes for optimizing database security.
Set and maintain database standards.
Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
Create automation for repeating database tasks.
Database Administrator Skills and Qualifications:
Proficient in writing complex SQL queries
Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Impeccable attention to detail
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure)
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
3+ years of experience in database administration, database architecture, or a related field(mandate)
Database Administration / Database related certifications preferred.
Extensive experience with database technologies (Snowflake/Teradata/ BigQuery/SQLServer/MongoDB)
