Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $ 112,444 to $ 126,861 + super

The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is seeking a Senior Coordination Officer to drive operational excellence and provide expert support to the Executive Director of Communications Engagement.


About the role

In this exciting position, you will provide day-to-day support to the Executive Director of Communications Engagement, managing the diary, coordinating internal and external relationships, and overseeing project management tasks. You will also extend support to the wider Communications branch as needed. You will offer expert advice on complex projects, identify emerging issues, and coordinate workflows to ensure timely and effective resolutions. Additionally, you will streamline systems and processes to enhance efficiency and play a key role in branch coordination.


About You

You are a skilled professional with a proven ability to manage complex issues and provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders. With excellent communication and organisational skills, you effectively handle competing demands while ensuring the delivery of high-quality services. You are adept at managing multiple tasks, including diary management and coordinating complex projects, and have strong systems and process management expertise. You have a natural ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Your proactive, strategic approach and project management experience drive efficiency and contribute to the team's success.


Nice to have

A background in communications or a basic understanding of the field
Experience within the NSW Government
