Salary – Up to £40,000

Hours - Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week – 9:30am to 5:30pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break - with flexible, hybrid working after probation

Holiday – 20 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays). After 5 completed years' service, will be entitled to accrue an additional day per year of service, from the start of the next holiday year, up to a maximum of 5 additional days.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen at our Borehamwood office for a Senior Accountant.

As a Senior Accountant, you will deliver exceptional client service and timely, budget-conscious delivery of work. The role involves managing the preparation of accounts for a variety of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, LLPs, charities, and groups.


Key responsibilities of a Senior Accountant will include:

producing accounts for clients (Limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, LLLPs, charities and groups)
be the key contact for the client and ensure first class client service provided at all times
ensuring that jobs are completed on time and within budget
managing the outsourcing team to ensure they produce high quality work
presenting the Partner with a complete set of accounts with minimal queries
accounts package drafted (disclosures/letters/minutes/certificates etc)
clear review points and put through adjustments to the accounts
keep time records up to date on a day-to-day basis and complete timesheets
liaise with tax department and deal with any queries raised
keep technically up to date

About you

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

ACA or ACCA qualified/part qualified with experience within an accountancy practice or Qualified by experience
self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
technically efficient in accounting
embraces new technology
a drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team
positive attitude
confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
