We are currently looking for Season Labourer/Operator to add to our team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Seasonal labourer would ensure the day-to-day safe operation and maintenance and/or security of all buildings, equipment, and machinery.

Ensures shipping and receiving of products and services and ensures the proper receiving of product going in or out of the location is recorded and in a timely manner
Loads and unloads containers, pallets or materials and products, safely on trucks, trailers by hand or by forklift or loader.
Responsible for ensuring full utilization of assets and proper cleanliness and safety practices are continuously being followed. Ensures the overall appearance of the inside and outside of the premises is maintained in a professional and organized manner to promote and enhance the image of County Farm Centre.
Responsible for the continuous maintenance and safe operation of all equipment and assets related to the Belleville location. Ensures the repairs of facilities and equipment are carried out on a least cost basis using preventative maintenance procedures and proper operating procedures.
Will be required to operate Branch equipment (i.e., Kubota Loader, skid steer, forklifts, Zero Turn-Lawn Mower etc.) in a safe and effective manner.
Performs and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicles and associated equipment by conducting pre-trip inspections such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights, and brakes.
Follows preventative maintenance schedule set out by Fleet Manager and Branch Manager for equipment and machinery. Report any issues and coordinate the repair and maintenance of outside technicians.
Able to blend fertilizer, weigh tanks, assists in inventory pre-listing and physical counting, as required, and creates blend sheet on daily production schedules for general fertilizer products, as well as pesticide combination products.
Ensures that proper vouchers are completed on incoming goods and verifies the correctness of receipts against bills of lading or other records, checks for shortages, identifies damaged goods, etc.
Sets up material handling, blending, manufacturing, storage, transport and application equipment for blending and delivery of products, such as fertilizer and/or chemical according to recommended rates and procedures.
Counts inventory monthly and records this inventory on count sheets to be calculated by the Branch Manager.
Responsible for providing seasonal maintenance to the branch, Lawn maintenance to the yard.
REQUIREMENTS

· Normally requires a high school diploma or equivalent or a combination of experience and training to provide the required knowledge and skills to safely operate transportation equipment, along with supervisory experience to provide daily leadership to all production.

. Full G driver's license.

· History of safe forklift and front loader operation would be an asset.

.Ability to obtain and maintain a Forklift License.

· Proven demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines during peak season as well as the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual account close cycles.

· Demonstrated planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work without close supervision and be proactive.

· May be required to work extended hours, particularly during peak seasons.
