We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our educational team. The Science Teacher will play a crucial role in shaping students' understanding of scientific concepts while promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
Educate students on various scientific topics, including biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.
Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations to enhance practical understanding of scientific principles.
Provide tutoring and additional support to students who require extra help in grasping complex concepts.
Mentor students, encouraging their curiosity and interest in science through hands-on activities and projects.
Utilise behaviour management strategies to maintain an orderly classroom environment conducive to learning.
Assess student progress through regular testing, assignments, and feedback, ensuring individual learning needs are met.
Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary projects that integrate maths and other subjects into the science curriculum.
Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching methods and materials as necessary.
Proofread educational materials to ensure clarity and accuracy before distribution.
Qualifications

A degree in a relevant scientific field or education with a focus on science is essential.
Proven experience in teaching science at the secondary level is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex information to students.
Experience in mentoring or tutoring students is advantageous.
Familiarity with laboratory equipment and safety protocols is required.
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques to foster a positive classroom atmosphere.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
