Sales Representative
ohler New Zealand is looking for a (Junior) Sales Representative who will be located in the greater Dunedin area. This role will work closely with our Southern Territory Sales Manager and the Area Manager and support our network of merchants and key housing and plumbing companies. This requires travel through the assigned territory calling on customers (some overnight travel may be needed).
Key responsibilities are:
Developing strong relationships with clients at merchant level, housing companies and trade bases.
Conducting product training of Kohler /Englefield products to both Housing companies and Merchants to outline the features and benefits of Kohler /Englefield products.
Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and networking.
Ensuring all merchant showrooms effectively display Kohler/ Englefield products with appropriate point of sale and all displays are of working order.
Preparing sales presentations to potential clients.
Actively participating in trade events/home shows/merchants’ sales. Some weekend work will be required.
Completing reports required in a timely manner.
What you need to bring:
Relevant tertiary qualification
Two years of experience in sales, business development or a relevant field; a combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Being goal-oriented with a competitive drive to achieve sales targets
Ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers
Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Self-discipline/self-management
Ability to maintain effective performance in unstructured and autonomous conditions
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Be located anywhere in the greater Dunedin region.
