As we expand our presence in New Zealand, we are looking for a motivated Sales Representative to drive growth, achieve sales targets, build strong trade relationships, and provide outstanding customer support.
The Role
As our sales representative (New Zealand), you will be responsible for generating sales, managing client relationships, and ensuring our customers receive the best service possible. This is a role suited for someone who has a proven track record of hitting sales goals, communicates effectively, is proactive in seeking out opportunities, and excels in building strong, long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, approach potential customers, and drive sales growth across New Zealand.
Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring long-term partnerships.
On-the-Road Sales: Travel regularly to meet clients in person, demonstrating products and understanding their needs.
Customer Support: Provide after-sales support, answer product inquiries, and assist clients in finding the best solutions.
Communication Reporting: Stay connected with the wider team via digital channels, providing updates and reporting on market trends, sales performance, and customer feedback.
Product Knowledge: Build up knowledge of our product and a basic understanding of excavators and hydraulics to better understand customer enquiries.
Inventory Management: Take ownership of the Elite NZ stock levels, completing stocktakes and assisting with inventory management and ordering.
What We’re Looking For
Self-Motivated Independent: Able to work autonomously and manage your own schedule effectively.
Strong Sales Skills: Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and build long-term client relationships.
Excellent Communication: Confident in maintaining digital communication with the broader team, attending weekly Zoom sales meetings and liaising professionally with clients.
Customer-Focused: Passion for providing exceptional service and understanding customer needs, with travel to OEM dealers on a regular basis.
Experience in the Industry: A background in heavy machinery, construction, hydraulics or equipment sales is preferred but not essential.
Valid Driver’s License: Comfortable with regular travel to meet clients.
