Role OverviewThe Inside Sales Executive will be the first point of contact for potential customers in the public andutility sectors, fueling Mapex’s Canadian growth. You will be responsible for researching targetorganizations, initiating outreach, qualifying prospects, and scheduling meetings for the senior business development team.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth market research to identify high-priority accounts in GIS-focused sectors
Generate leads through calls, LinkedIn outreach, ZoomInfo, Apollo, and email campaigns
Set qualified meetings with GIS heads and procurement teams of public or utility organizations and business partners working in GIS space.
Maintain accurate records in CRM (HubSpot/Zoho), and track outreach and follow-upsBuild prospect lists and monitor ongoing GIS-related bids, tenders, and RFP cycles
Work with marketing to refine messaging for email sequences social engagement.
Stay current on GIS trends, procurement cycles, and public infrastructure initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile

2+ years of inside sales or business development experience in a GIS service provider or GIS software firm
Strong understanding of the B2B sales cycle, client qualification, and outbound prospecting
RFP workflowsFamiliarity with CRM tools like HubSpot, Zoho, or Salesforce.
Proficient in lead generation platforms such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo
Strong communication skills and ability to convert cold leads into qualified meetings
Self-motivated with an ability to manage sales targets
Focus Areas and Industry ExperienceCandidates should have experience or awareness in any of the following high-growth GIS sectors:

1. Utilities (Electric, Gas, Water)

Digital twin creation using 2D/3D mapping• LiDAR/UAV-based inspections for asset digitization• Infrastructure mapping for planning and predictive maintenance
2. Government Public Sector• Urban base mapping and cadastral land records digitization• Emergency response GIS use cases• Engagement with municipalities and ministries (e.g., MPAC, MNRF, NRCan)

3. Infrastructure Engineering• BIM integration, 3D city modeling• Transportation network analysis and photogrammetry• Topographic mapping using DEM, DTM, and LiDAR data

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,400.00-$156,323.22 per year
