About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team. This remote role is based in Melbourne but offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in Australia. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, building strong relationships within the events industry, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and target new clients including event organisers, exhibition suppliers, corporate event planners, and marketing agencies.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Sales Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the events and exhibitions sector.
- Proposal Contract Negotiation: Prepare and present compelling proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Market Research: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the events sector.
- Collaboration: Work closely with operations and management teams to ensure client requirements are met seamlessly.
- Reporting Forecasting: Track sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics; prepare regular sales reports for management.
KPIs Reporting Structure:
- Monthly Sales Targets: Achieve set revenue targets and new client acquisition goals.
- Lead Generation: Generate a minimum of 30 qualified leads per month.
- Conversion Rate: Maintain a minimum conversion rate of 35% from leads to signed contracts.
- Client Retention: Achieve a client retention rate of at least 60% annually.
- Pipeline Development: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Customer Satisfaction: Attain an average client satisfaction score of 7.5/10 or higher.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports directly to the General Manager.
- Collaborates with Operations and Staffing teams to ensure service delivery.
Requirements:
- Proven sales experience in events, exhibitions, hospitality, or labour hire industries.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve targets.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Knowledge of the Australian events industry landscape is a must.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
