Job Summary:
As a GI Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a vital role in delivering expert gastroenterology nursing care, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout GI procedures. You will work closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized nursing care for GI patients, including endoscopy procedures.
Monitor and assess patients for changes in condition, responding appropriately.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
Requirements:
Active RN license in the State of Illinois (Required)
Graduate from an accredited nursing program
CPR certification (Required)
ACLS certification (Preferred; Required for Critical Care ER)
PALS certification (Required for ER Pediatrics)
NRP certification (Required for Special Care Nursery)
Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize changes in patient condition
Knowledge of patient needs across the lifespan
Attention to detail accuracy in nursing duties
