Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Unisex Hairdresser and Beautician to join our team. This role is responsible for providing a wide range of hair and beauty services to both male and female clients, including haircuts, styling, coloring, skincare treatments, facials, waxing, threading, and more. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in salon services, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first approach.

As a Unisex Hairdresser and Beautician, you will play a key role in enhancing the appearance and confidence of clients by offering personalized grooming and beauty solutions. You must stay updated with the latest beauty trends, use professional techniques, and maintain high hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Hairdressing Services (Male and Female Clients)

- Perform haircuts, trims, and shaves for men, and a variety of haircuts and styling services for women.

- Style hair using blow dryers, straighteners, curlers, and other tools to achieve desired looks.

- Apply hair treatments such as deep conditioning, keratin, anti-dandruff, and hair spa services.

- Offer professional hair coloring, highlights, root touch-ups, and chemical treatments (e.g., straightening, perming, smoothing).

- Recommend haircare products based on client hair type and concerns.

2. Beauty and Skincare Services

- Provide facial treatments tailored to different skin types using professional skincare products.

- Perform deep cleansing, scrubbing, steaming, blackhead removal, massage, and mask application.

- Offer anti-aging treatments, acne control facials, and other specialized skincare solutions.

- Analyze skin conditions and provide product or treatment recommendations.

3. Grooming Services

- Perform waxing (face, underarms, arms, legs, full body), including hot wax, strip wax, and roll-on wax techniques.

- Provide threading services for eyebrows, upper lips, forehead, and chin with precision.

- Offer bleaching services for face and body, following proper techniques and skin sensitivity tests.

4. Makeup and Styling (Optional or As Required)

- Apply day makeup, party makeup, and bridal makeup based on client needs.

- Assist in hairstyling for events, including updos, braids, buns, and curls.

- Recommend beauty routines and styling advice for special occasions.

5. Client Consultation and Care

- Greet clients warmly and conduct consultations to understand their preferences and concerns.

- Suggest appropriate services and explain treatment steps clearly.

- Provide aftercare advice and recommend home care products when suitable.

- Maintain strong client relationships and encourage repeat visits through excellent service.

6. Hygiene, Safety, and Sanitation

- Ensure all tools and equipment (scissors, combs, clippers, brushes, tweezers) are properly sterilized before and after use.

- Follow salon safety and hygiene protocols at all times, including use of gloves, masks, and disposable items.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, towels, sheets, and treatment rooms.

7. Teamwork and Communication

- Coordinate with other stylists, beauticians, and staff to ensure smooth salon operations.

- Support co-workers during peak hours or special client appointments.

- Share knowledge about new beauty trends, techniques, and product launches with the team.

8. Inventory and Product Knowledge

- Monitor stock of salon products and consumables and inform the manager of any low inventory.

- Use professional products correctly and maintain knowledge of brands used in the salon.

- Upsell salon services and retail products to increase revenue while ensuring client satisfaction.
