The Role
Your Responsibilities Will Include
• Installation and maintenance of UBR (Network Device) with the help of a laptop by climbing to a little height on the Vodafone network tower.
• Escalating technical issues to the relevant parties when needed and following up till the issues are closed.
• Ensuring all standards and procedures are followed and maintained.
• Answering queries and resolving issues relating to the usage of standard applications and IT services.
• Providing monthly help desk reports.
• Designing, maintaining and supporting the network infrastructure.
• Monitoring system performance and ensuring reliability and availability.
• Recommending infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements in compliance with IT policy procedure.
• Providing Level 2 support and troubleshooting as and when required.
• Analysing business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework.
• Providing technical (Level 2/Level 3) support.
• Providing design guidelines, documentation, standard configuration and best practices for implementation.
• Understanding available solutions and being aware of best practices within the industry.
• Working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements.
Ideal Profile
• A laptop is compulsory.
• You possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• You have at least 1 year of experience, ideally as a Network Engineer / Systems Engineer, Network Architect or Helpdesk / Technical Support role.
• Expertise in LAN would be highly valuable.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• You are highly goal driven and work well in fast-paced environments
• You are adaptable and thrive in changing environments
• You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
• You are willing to undertake more than 60% travel.
