Are you a hospitality professional with a passion for great food and top-notch service? We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to join our teams at three different locations in Auckland. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising and controlling the overall operations of our three businesses. You will be confident and comfortable in all areas of your profession and able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Location: Auckland
Job type: Full-time, permanent
Pay rate: $25.00-$32.00, depending on experience
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed, between 10 am and 11 pm Relevant experience/qualifications: Two years of relevant experience or relevant qualifications
Willing to work on weekends and public holidays (Working days will be between Monday and Sunday)
Description
Overseeing daily business operations, ensuring smooth service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Handling staff rosters, payroll, general administrative duties, conducting staff performance reviews, and ensuring a cost-effective roster is published weekly in advance
Organising stock purchases and supplies as required, staying within budget, and maintaining supplier relationships.
Maintaining records of financial transactions
Preparing and planning menus in consultation with the chef/management in line with customer demand, and regularly reviewing the product quality
Initiating and implementing marketing and advertising strategies
Handling customer inquiries and complaints regarding meals and service
Managing bookings for catering orders
Planning and organising special events
Controlling operational costs and identifying measures to reduce waste.
Demonstrating excellent problem-solving capabilities
Leading, supervising, and training the team to deliver outstanding customer service.
Promoting the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and in-store promotions.
Ensuring compliance with food safety and liquor licensing regulations.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety in accordance with legislation and guidelines.
Performing other general duties as required by management from time to time
