We are searching for a passionate, experienced, and energetic restaurant leader to fill the position of Restaurant General Manager. This is a key role in that will oversee the restaurant and in-room dining operations, train and develop team members, and lead the team in providing an elevated service level our guests have come to enjoy and expect.
What will I be doing?
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for managing the team and operations to ensure a smooth and elevated guest experience. You will ensure the following tasks are performed to the highest standards:
Oversee the entire operation of Frenchy Bar et Brasserie including managing revenue, and all aspects of labour and cost
Collaborate on creating Food Beverage Menus with the Chef Beverage Manager and communicating changes to the team
Recruit, train, and develop team members; conduct performance appraisals and manage performance
Forecast revenues and create restaurant budgets
Overall financial responsibility for the restaurant including scheduling, purchasing and ordering, inventory control and effective use of the POS and all available tools
Liaise with the Marketing team to ensure the restaurant is active on social media and that all online feedback and comments are answered, and that the restaurant is active and represented within the food and restaurant community of the city
Ensure all stations are set up according to standards
Foster a culture of culture of teamwork and guest-centered service with fun and hospitality
Engage leaders and team members towards recognizing performance, achievement of financial metrics, food quality, and the execution of a flawless guest experience
Anticipate problems before they arise, and building contingency plans to ensure our guest and team members experience never waivers
Partner with Sales team on innovative Private Dining Room experiences to drive revenue
OSE inventory Control
Drive revenue through maximizing seating and meal periods, monitor seating times and booking trends
What are we looking for?
Restaurant General Managers serving Hilton brands are always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
Minimum of 2 years restaurant General Manager experience
Proven leadership experience that fosters teamwork and developing people
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
In depth knowledge of the hospitality/ food beverage service industry
Skilled in Microsoft office, POS systems, Reservation systems, and other related applications
Demonstrated ability to deliver a high level of customer service
Flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require
Food Safety Certification Level 1 Smart Serve Certification
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
Previous experience working with and leading a unionized team
Sommelier Beverage curation experience an asset
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and labor management tools
Previous hotel experience
