Registered Dental Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups and reminders, as a dental receptionist when necessary.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile working environment.
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and insurance verification.
Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric dentistry when required.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems is a plus.
Proficiency in using dental software, particularly Dentrix or Epic.
Experience in orthodontics and pediatrics is desirable but not mandatory.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently under pressure.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.
