Sales planning
• Study and research government welfare schemes and announcements. Also look into budgetary provisions for welfare activities in each state to determine what kind of policies can be created and sold. On the basis of current schemes, create business case in discussion with Vertical – Government Business.
• Business development
• Meet Central and State government officials in the ministries assigned / allocated like Health, Women Child, Rural Development, Cooperative, Agriculture etc. Understand Central and State schemes – objectives, budgets, target population etc. Build relationships with stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for concept selling. Meet officials and offer insurance solution for various welfare schemes.
• Discuss opportunities and pursuits with the Product team. Collaborate to create/ fine-tune products as per the government requirements. Work with underwriters to structure the product and determine pricing.
• Regularly interact and follow up with government officials. Participate in the tendering process and align RFP requirements with BAGIC strengths.
• Track all government tender requests/ RFP for insurance programs in assigned / allocated ministries State. Work with the Underwriting team to finalize the tender. Participate in the bidding process by submitting quotes and supporting documents. Respond to any questions on the submitted tender.
• Business implementation
• Coordinate with the Ministries / State Government post allocation of the tender and complete all documentation in discussion with reporting manager.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the District Coordinators to drive implementation in states/ regions where the tender has been won. Liaison with officers at state and district level for implementation. Drive enrolment of eligible population under the insurance scheme.
• Work with District Coordinators for claims / enrollment monitoring. Leverage on-ground relationships to provide local support on audits for insurance claims.
• Drive the team to address on-ground challenges and ensure smooth implementation. Manage escalations with regard to enrolment and claims. Meet key district and state level officials to manage escalations and ensure timely closure.
• Monitor the policy on regular basis to track profitability, loss ratios etc. Determine and implement on ground measures to ensure profitability.
• Team Management and Coaching
• Participate in selection process to identify the right talent for positions within the team
• Determine individual training needs and development plans to build expertise and enhance skills in the team

Set objectives, conduct reviews and close appraisal processes for the team as per timelines
