Purpose: The Regional Medical Education Manager (RMEM) supports the development of the national and regional medical education strategy and calendar of events. They are responsible for executing regional needs assessments, identifying, and validating local and regional insights on educational gaps and Healthcare Practitioner learning needs. The RMEM is responsible for development of the go-to-market plans alongside the Medical Science Liaison in the region. The RMEM will oversee the medical event execution by Territory Managers and help identify local congress opportunities, in alignment with laws, regulations, policy, and Corporate Compliance. The RMEM will identify field synergies for execution and oversee executional excellence of the national and regional medical education tactics in alignment with the strategic plans.
The Regional Medical Education Manager will support the National Medical Education Manager (NMEM) in national and asset-based Needs Assessments for Other Learning Activities, recommendation of speakers and faculty for asset development, overseeing train the trainers, and coordinating the Medical Science Liaison to meet with speakers to ensure Scientific Narrative Alignment prior to program deployment. The RMEM will work closely with the NMEM to determine event ownership and pull in Medical Education subject matter experts in the medical event planning and development processes. They are responsible for event closure and post-event follow-up with the speaker. They are responsible for overseeing national or cross-border medical events and oversight for congress symposia, and field logistics of these events. Post-event responsibilities will include reviewing event data and identifying actionable insights to further expand regional educational strategies and tactics and supply these insights to the internal team.
You will be responsible to:
Contribute to the development of the Go-To-Market regional education plan.
Oversee the execution of educational assets in field.
Optimize educational offerings in the region.
Partner closely with Medical Science Liaison to meet with speakers to ensure alignment to scientific narrative and pre and post event follow up.
Responsible for execution of all medical events and regional congress symposia operations
Coordinate event wrap-up and evaluation including insight feedback to National Medical Education Manager
Conduct quarterly regional insight analysis.
Management of all aspects related to the tactical execution of a medical education event.
Ensure tracking and reporting of events in alignment with compliance and POA plan for the asset.
Understand the learning needs of the region(s) for medical education in the therapy area.
Responsible for event closure, post-event evaluation summaries, and post-event follow up with the speaker.
Supports the therapy area medical education strategies and execution for each educational event.
Monitor ongoing events in the region to ensure compliant offerings.
Track event metrics to provide feedback and insights to internal team.
Maintain knowledge of key regulations, policies, and industry codes applicable to healthcare compliance for pharmaceutical companies in Canada.
Partner closely with the Health Care Engagement and Medical Education team to optimize process flow for educational assets and ensure alignment with all policies.
This role requires up to 30% domestic and/or international travel.
