Role Overview
As a Bailey Nelson Regional Manager, you take full accountability for the performance of all Store Managers, Optometrists, and Store Locations within your region.
You are passionate about helping your team be the best they can be, and you are dedicated to training, developing and providing feedback to your team to support their performance and growth.

Role accountabilities:
To be responsible for maximizing the performance of Bailey Nelson stores across the region through leading the Store Managers
To be the primary local point of contact and accountability for Bailey Nelson operations
To develop and support the implementation of strategies to improve performance of the company performance, KPIs and national objectives and targets
To develop region specific strategies to grow the business in existing, new and prospective stores
To develop and train Store Manager leadership and performance and motivate team members, developing a New Zealand people pipeline
Provide operational support to stores and ensure that all operations, policies, and procedures are correct and accurate in all stores
To establish and maintain effective two-way communication channels between Stores and Support Office regarding company strategic initiatives
Store Experience and Performance:
Ensuring our stores are delivering a superior customer experience through executing the customer journey consistently, all retail and optometry operating standards are being met and support overall store and business goals and performance.
People management and development:
Inspiring and motivating team growth through individual development plans that promote an environment of personal growth and accountability
Operations and Communications:
Overseeing store operations and ensuring all communications flow through to the store teams via the Store Managers in the right way at the right time on all business updates and initiatives.
Ensuring the protection of company assets and that policies and practices are being followed consistently by ensuring the stores are following correct processes and procedures for brand compliance
Creating an inspiring and inclusive work environment reflective of the brand

About you
You have at least 3-5 years’ experience in retail and/or optical retail multi site management
You have proven leadership skills and can build strong, committed teams and a strong understanding of business practice and acumen
You have strong organization, prioritization, problem solving and time management skills in a retail environment
You are down to earth, enthusiastic and positive
Proactive, driven, passionate and a highly motivated leader aiming to better yourself and those around you
You always encourage individuality of your customers and team members
You are a strong team player and have a “unite the business” approach to all given tasks
You use your own initiative with projects and ideas for marketing, efficiency, and process improvements
You have excellent communication and a customer experience focused mindset.
