Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Refinish Technician to join our Simplicity Car Care team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for refinishing and painting vehicles according to Simplicity’s high standards, ensuring each repair is invisible and factory-quality. You’ll lead the refinish department and play a critical role in upholding efficiency, safety, and excellence in vehicle presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete repairs following Simplicity’s Paint Shop Procedures.
Utilize and maintain a full set of tools including air sanders, spray guns, and other refinishing equipment.
Inspect all vehicles before entering the paint shop to ensure previous work meets quality standards.
Identify and report any missed or hidden damage not included in the original Work Order.
Organize and manage all job-related parts until reassembly.
Mix and label sufficient paint in advance for full vehicle refinishing.
Test and confirm color match with a spray-out panel before paint application.
Perform own buffing to ensure clean finishes and accountability for paint quality.
Finalize spray operations, reassembly, and masking removal before handing off to the next department.
Maintain awareness of job timelines and delivery schedules, and be prepared to work overtime if required.
Communicate job status and request new assignments from the production manager when needed.
Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
What You Offer:
1+ year of full automotive refinishing and painting experience (preferably with PPG products).
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Team player with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
A constant commitment to workplace safety.
Valid Driver’s License.

Compensation:
· This position offers a pay structure of $30/hour (43 hours average) or $27/hour flat rate (up to 75 hours; after 75 hours pay increases to $2+/hr, and after 150 hours, to $30/hr), plus a $10,000 annual bonus paid quarterly, overtime pay at 1.5x, and benefits.
