Quality Control Technician
Quality Control Technician, Full-Time (Seasonal)

Responsibilities
Conduct laboratory and field testing for aggregates, asphalt, and concrete as per industry standards.
Sample material from construction sites, asphalt and ready-mix plants, and gravel pits.
Perform in-situ density (compaction) testing by means of a nuclear densometer gauge.
Interact with site personnel including foremen, inspectors, clients, crew members to prevent non-conforming work.
Participate in investigations into customer complaints or out-of-tolerance work.
Keep records regarding quality concerns.
Work modified hours including overtime, nights, and weekends as required.
Participate in equipment calibrations and maintenance.
Report and communicate test results.
Work around heavy equipment and along active roadways including 400-series highways.
Qualifications
Civil or construction engineering diploma preferred.
Prior CCIL/ACI/CSA certification is an asset—willingness to become certified.
Related work experience with road building, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete an asset.
Comfortable with common mathematical equations.
Able to lift 50 lb.
Possess a valid Ontario G-class licence and a clean Driver’s Abstract.
Computer and Microsoft Office skills.
Safe, team oriented, self-starter.
