The role will involve sampling products and conducting, recording, and reporting precise laboratory tests. The technician will also contribute to equipment maintenance, stock control, complaint investigations, and adherence to safety protocols, while actively fostering a culture of quality assurance throughout the site. Responsibilities: Collecting samples from various stages of the bottling process and accurately using the laboratory suite of equipment to measure the products. Record and report test results promptly, highlighting any deviations from standards. Collaborate with the Lab Manager to maintain equipment calibration and meet quality targets. Ensure that all relevant sample result logs are kept up to date. Demonstrate knowledge, enthusiasm, and hospitality to visitors, customers, and auditors. Assist in managing lab stock inventory and replenishing consumables as needed. Support complaint investigations, contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Follow standard operating procedures and safe working practices to ensure the safety of self and colleagues. Calculate recipes and any adjustments required (i.e., water and sugar). Work on becoming a cross-functional QC Lab team member (chemistry, microbiology, sensory). Clean and decontaminate the Laboratory before a shift handover. Be part of projects and support team members across the site. Verify critical control points such as temperature control, and ensure corrective actions are followed if deviations should occur. Communicate lab results effectively to relevant departments, fostering collaboration and problem-solving. Drive the culture of quality throughout the site, leading by example and promoting continuous improvement. Requirements: Ideally experience in the Food Beverage Industry.
