Job description:
Support the road construction and management activities of the Transport Group by progressing State road ownership proclamations, as required under legislation including the Highways Act 1+51, Roads and Jetties Act 1+35, and Local Government (Highways) Act 1+82 and providing property and road status advice to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Period of Appointment
Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for three (3) years.
Duties
Coordinate the program of work for State road proclamations including:
Maintaining schedules and other documentation to plan and report on the delivery of proclamations which may include the delivery of a new baseline proclamation.
Liaising with Project and Asset Managers and undertaking research to determine and define road proclamations
Developing draft instructions for new proclamations and accompanying documents for submission to the Office of Parliamentary Counsel
Working with proclamation plan drafters to develop and lodge proclamation plans with the Central Plans Register
Preparing Ministerial Minutes, Explanatory Memoranda and other key documentation in support of proclamation activities.
Undertake research and provide advice on property and road status issues relevant to Crown land transactions, asset maintenance responsibilities, adjoining private development and State Roads’ projects.
Desirable Requirements
Relevant Certificate IV of Diploma qualifications (for example: Land Surveying, Paralegal, Civil Engineering, Conveyancing etc) or partial completion or equivalent experience
