Project Assistant (TSTS)
Job description
B+H Architects is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Assistant (TSTS) to join our architecture team. This role is for someone who is organized, willing to learn, and interested in supporting a busy architecture studio. You don’t need previous experience in architecture - just a positive attitude, a willingness to grow, and a respect for culture and community. This position is hybrid but we are flexible to accommodate remote work.
As our Project Assistant, you’ll help with everyday office tasks that keep things running smoothly. You’ll work closely with architects, designers, and managers, and have a chance to learn more about the world of design and construction. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and an appreciation for design and the creative process.
As a Project Assistant (TSTS), you will be responsible for:
• Serve as a point of contact for clients, consultants, and project team members
• Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate internal and external stakeholders
• Assist with project documentation, including formatting, printing, emails and reports
• Organize and maintain electronic filing systems, including project folders
• Handle correspondence and communication on behalf of team members
• Support the creation of marketing materials (e.g. formatting documents, preparing presentations, assisting with social media or website updates)
• Help coordinate internal training sessions and studio events like team meetings, lunches, and cultural gatherings
• Assist with event planning for team meetings, client presentations, and studio events
• Maintain databases for clients, vendors, and project information
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Any administrative experience, preferably in an architecture, design, or construction environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Attributes:
• Interest in architecture, design, or the built environment (not required, but welcomed)
• Good communication skills and willingness to ask questions
• Ability to work collaboratively with a creative team
• Discretion with confidential and sensitive information
