About The Role

As an integral member of the Adelaide Manufacturing Team you will provide clear leadership and direction to your relevant production group.

What You’ll Do

Carefully monitor labour requirements to ensure that production targets are maintained.

Responsible for the effective and efficient of use of labour in your line to ensure production targets are achieved.

Monitor, order, control and report on factory consumables

Taking responsibility for the ongoing training and development of all employees under your operational control.

Encourage the attainment of EMS Yellow and Green Gear certification for all employees

Monitor absenteeism, lateness, efficiency and where required provide counseling and or disciplinary action as required.

Carry out performance appraisals for employees under your control

Own the safety of your people by ensuring all employees are aware and comply with all safety, quality and environmental procedures and practices within your area of work.

Ensuring that all new operators or operators that are moved to a different work area are correctly inducted and trained.

Having Responsibility for the management of injured workers and their respective work restrictions.

Timely completion of any raised Accident/Investigation form

Promote continuous improvement including housekeeping and the maintenance of the of the EMS boards using EMS principles

Role model behaviors for all employees under their control i.e. integrity, honesty, and keeping to commitments made

Conduct team meetings with team leaders and operators on an appropriately regular basis to provide feedback on individual and team performance.

Investigate reasons for equipment downtime and put systems in place to achieve reduction.

Who You Are

Essential

Supervisory experience in a large/medium manufacturing environment is ideal, however we are open to other industries if you meet the other essential criteria

Proven experience in leading, coaching and developing people

Strong problem solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders across functions

You have worked in a process driven environment with a strong safety culture

Desirable

Knowledge of Quality Accreditation (ISO+001 and ISO14001) framework

Understanding of total product assembly process

Understanding of the Just in Time (Kanban) delivery process

Location:

You will be based in Dudley Park, Adelaide office within the manufacturing facility with colleagues working for Business Area Factory Manufacturing Engineering.
