The Role
As a Policy, Program or Project Officer at the Department of Education, you will contribute to Australia’s economic prosperity and social wellbeing by creating opportunities and driving better outcomes through access to quality education and learning.
Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
Assist in the development of policy documents for review and publication.
Interpret and draft policy and procedural directions within specialist area.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and represent the work area in relation to policy development.
Perform research work and analysis including contribution to the preparation of reports on relevant program activities and/or project milestones.
Manage expenditure, analyse and report on financial information.
Assist in the delivery of projects and drafting briefing papers under the direction of higher classification levels.
Assist in the evaluation of program performance and identify areas for improvement.
