JD FOR DESIGN ENGINEER – HVAC
Location: Mugappair, Chennai
Role and Responsibilities:
· Prepare Heat Load Calculations, Air flow design, Basis of Design / Design Basis report Concept design Drawings for HVAC System, like Chillers, Cooling Tower, Primary Secondary Pump Head calculations etc.
· Have experience of computer-based design tools for HVAC designs such as HAP and IES, Ductsizer and Pipe sizer, etc.
· Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients is preferred Tender Document.
· Collaborate with clients, architects, and project teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
· Design HVAC systems, including equipment selection, ductwork layout, piping, and controls, to meet heating and cooling needs while optimizing energy efficiency. Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
· Collaborate with clients, architects, and project teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
· Heat Load Calculations for AC and Heating, Ventilation Calculations Duct Sizing
Piping Design Skills especially with Chilled Water / DX Systems along with a thorough knowledge
· Prepare Chilled Water Hot Water Schematics and Detail Design
Code Compliance:
· Ensure that HVAC designs comply with local, state, and national building codes, as well as industry standards and regulations.
· Thorough knowledge and understanding of International Design Guidelines and regulatory requirements (ISHRAE, ASHRAE, SMACNA, DW144etc.)
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
· Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC system design and engineering.
· Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, equipment, and systems.
· Familiarity with local and national HVAC codes and regulations
· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
· Detail-oriented and organized approach to work.
· Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar tools
