Plumber
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Plumber to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment within the FMCG industry. Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on pipework, drainage, and all plumbing systems across the site.
Troubleshoot issues, diagnose faults, and perform effective repairs.
Carry out regular servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and extend lifespan.
Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies, taking action to resolve issues efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities using CMMS or other documentation tools.
Collaborate with the wider team to analyse failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Assist in the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of industrial equipment as required.
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
Proactively recommend improvements to enhance maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Licences
Relevant trade qualifications with a current Plumbing Licence (essential)
Sound knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices
Manual Driver’s Licence (essential)
Backflow prevention testing certification (desirable, but not essential)
Skills and Competencies
Proven experience in a similar role; FMCG industry experience is a bonus
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
Collaborative and team-oriented approach
Intermediate computer literacy
A strong commitment to workplace safety and WHS compliance
Self-motivated, energetic, and capable of working independently
Willingness to share knowledge with team members, supervisors, and plant manager
