About The Position
Due to continued growth, BGIS are seeking a Qualified Plumber’s to join our growing Trades Team in Invercargill. These are hands-on roles supporting maintenance, renovation, and upgrade projects across both residential and commercial environments —working directly with a multi-disciplinary team on long-term, meaningful government client contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Perform regular servicing and repairs on residential and commercial sites
Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, spouting, and downpipes
Diagnose and resolve water supply faults and plumbing system issues
Collaborate with Carpenters, Electricians, and other trades on joint tasks
Support renovation and upgrade projects from planning through to completion
Provide constructive feedback to the Site Foreman and Internal Delivery Manager, fostering a culture of continuous improvement on site
What You’ll Bring
NZ Certificate in Plumbing or an equivalent recognised qualification
Must hold a valid NZ Plumbing Registration and Practising Licence
Proven experience in commercial plumbing maintenance and installations
Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and installation skills
Sound knowledge of Health Safety practices and compliance obligations
Ability to use iPad and mobile apps for time task reporting
A Full (Class 1) NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport
