Responsibilities
Performs skilled plumbing work; installing, repairing, troubleshooting, inspecting, and doing preventive maintenance on plumbing and sanitary systems and hardware to support the safe functioning and quality at MMC and all campuses
Performs work orders and participates in projects as directed
Works in a team based and customer service oriented environment
Performs general plumbing duties, such as installing, repairing, and maintaining valves, faucets, flushometers, drains and traps in conjunction with water closets, lavatories, urinals, kitchen sinks, laboratory equipment, hot water heaters, water coolers, shower roof drainage systems and control lines for sprinkler/irrigation systems
Maintains piping systems by opening clogged drains, replaces washers and repairs leaky faucets
Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and directs maintenance repairmen, assigned to assists, in procedures related to plumbing installations, water distribution and sewage
Must operate motor vehicles to transport materials and equipment needed to accomplish the job tasks assigned to this position
Performs other duties and tasks related to University operations or requirements as may be required by Facilities Management Department administration and other University administrators
