Pipe Layer/Labourer
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipelayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various aspects of water and sewer pipe installation and maintenance. This role involves working with a variety of tools and equipment to ensure the successful installation of municipal water and sewer systems.
The Pipelayer will work closely with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
Duties
Install, repair, and maintain pipelines for water and sewer underground utilities.
Operate a Skidsteer to assist in the installation process.
Operate light duty equipment such as walk behind tamper, Skilsaw, or Jackhammer.
Bed trenches with sand using hand tools to lay pipes at the correct elevation.
Perform routine inspections on installed lines to ensure functionality.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain a safe work environment.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Experience
Proven experience as a water and sewer pipelayer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools effectively.
Familiarity with water and sewer installation process.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
