Perinatal Health Liaison
About the Position
The Maternal and Child Wellness Advocate will work closely with clinical and social service providers in the assigned catchment area to build relationships, provide direct outreach services, and facilitate referrals and coordination of care for perinatal health programs.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct outreach activities for various programs, including tabling at events, street outreach, and presentations to community members and providers.
Develop resources for health and social service needs identified by community stakeholders.
Support direct recruitment of clients and community members to be trained as doulas, Community Breastfeeding Educators, and Certified Lactation Consultants.
Requirements
High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities.
Strong understanding of and commitment to birth equity.
Experience in outreach and recruitment for a community-based doula, health, or social-service organization.
