Description
The ROLE
To support the continued growth of our expanding business, we are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our team on a permanent full or part time basis.
As a pivotal member of the highly effective team responsible for processing the weekly and fortnightly pays of more than 800 employees, you will be responsible for:
Supporting the processing of pay-runs within required timeframes
Providing professional advisory support and assistance to employees regarding payroll matters
Creation of new starters, employee changes and separations through the payroll system
Timesheet review, interpretation and entry
Assisting with end of month reporting and reconciliations
Supporting end of financial year reporting, including reconciliation and preparation of payment summaries
About YOU
With the option to work from our Hobart, Launceston, Ulverstone or Burnie locations, and flexible hybrid working arrangements available, this exciting opportunity will suit those with two or more years of experience in a similar role and:
Experience with automated payroll systems, preferably ELMO
High level analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated high level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels to develop and maintain effective relationships.
Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with periodic demands.
A high level of computer literacy with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
A sound understanding of relevant employment and taxation legislation including Workplace Relations Act, Workers Compensation, Superannuation, Taxation etc
