Role details The Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Patient and Community Engagement Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis. Your opportunity To lead and deliver high level services in the area of stakeholder engagement, including health consumer/carer, workforce, clinician, community and general practitioner, for the Mackay Hospital and Health Service. This position reports directly to the Mackay HHS Executive Director Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Community Engagement. About the Team The Community Engagement Unit is based within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Community Engagement division at the Mackay Base Hospital and provides support, advice and education to all facilities within the Mackay HHS on Consumer and Community Engagement. About our Hospital and Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately +0,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
