We are currently seeking a Part-Time Freelance Data Engineer with strong expertise in Java to support our team. This is a remote opportunity requiring daily engagement of 2 hours, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining and enhancing our data infrastructure, ensuring data pipelines are robust, scalable, and efficient.
Responsibilities:
• Support and maintain existing data pipelines developed in Java.
• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data workflows.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand data requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Perform code reviews and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Ensure high availability and performance of data systems.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong Java programming skills.
• Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and pipeline development.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of SQL and database systems.
• Ability to work independently in a remote and part-time setting.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
