Part-Time Bakery Assistant - Closing Shift
Overview
Petit Bonbon, a specialty bakery located in the Arts District of Downtown LA, is seeking a Part-Time Bakery Assistant (Closing Shift) to join our small, friendly team.
This role focuses on assisting with cheesecake production and handling end-of-day tasks such as packaging, cleaning, and kitchen closing.
We’re looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a small kitchen environment.
Duties Responsibilities
Assist with cheesecake production following established workflows (ingredients will be pre-measured and prepared).
Operate mixers, ovens, and other basic kitchen equipment safely.
Package finished products for orders, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shift.
Wash dishes, sanitize work areas, and take out trash before closing.
Assist with basic next-day prep (e.g., setting out equipment, organizing ingredients).
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
Previous kitchen or bakery experience preferred, but not required – training will be provided.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
Good attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Comfortable with physical tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons (approx. 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM). Some flexibility possible for the right candidate.
About the Role
Type: Part-time (Closing Shift)
Hours: ~20 hours/week (seasonal increases possible during holidays)
Pay: $18–20/hour depending on experience
Location: Arts District, Downtown Los Angeles (street parking available)
