Full job description
JT RENOVATION (NZ) LIMITED is looking for 3 painters to join the company. We are a small team of expert painters, specializing in high-end (and varied) commercial jobs, along with small residential works in Auckland. Applicants must be physically fit, positive attitude, socially friendly, have your own vehicle. In return, we offer a full time permanent position, 30 hours per week minimum hours, $30.00 or higher hourly rate to the right candidate.

To be eligible for this role:

Knowledgeable in all aspects of painting is preferred (eg spraying, rolling, preparation, cutting etc)
At least 2 years of proven related work experiences required
Have an awareness of health and safety
Ability to work independently or in a team
Able to follow instruction and keen to learn and/or advance your skills required for a career in painting
Have a desire to deliver high quality results
Able to work over weekends and off hours
Key duties include:

Preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces prior to painting
Scrape, sandpaper, prime or seal surfaces prior to painting
Preparation work, cutting in, rolling, painting interior and exteriors
Ability to identify surface type and select appropriate paint type
Applying paints to surfaces including canvas, walls, doors using brushes, rollers and sprays
Clean walls to ensure proper adherence
Cleaning equipment and work areas
