Responsibilities
This role will develop and maintain our paint training program and ensure all painters within the organization have the standard painting skills and competencies to produce work which complies with our engineering standards and customer expectations
Will work cross functionally as a Subject Matter Expert on Paint operations with other departments and stakeholders
Develop and deliver training programs for on-site paint supervisors and technicians, focusing on paint application techniques, quality assurance, and safety protocols
Create and maintain training materials, including SOPs, manuals, and e-learning modules, to ensure all sites have access to standardized resources
Provide training and support for all paint team members on Morgan Engineering Standards
Certify painters of different levels, in accordance with Painter Skills Matrix
Implement monthly auditing program for all paint applications at Morgan
To ensure that all painting is done to engineering specifications and in accordance with engineering prints
Perform random paint audits for all Painters under scope of responsibility
Inspect any painting problems reported by Quality or Warranty department and provide root cause analysis and mitigation actions
Ensure that all quality technicians, and relevant leaders are trained on, and comply with Morgan paint procedures
Maintain and update paint training records and ensure all Painters are in the proper job level and compensation structure for the skills in which they have demonstrated certification
Multi-Site Oversight and Coordination:
Provide guidance and support to paint supervisors at various manufacturing sites, ensuring consistent application of corporate paint processes and quality standards
Conduct regular site visits to assess paint operations, identify areas for improvement, and support implementation of best practices
Ensure that any Painter hired by Morgan Truck Body meets role requirements to be a Painter
Approximately 50% travel

• Ability to communicate to multiple levels and functions
• Experience with Schematics, Blue-Print reading, and AutoCAD
