2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday 3:00 PM - 1:15 AM ; Friday OT hours vary
The Paint Automation Technician is responsible for setting up, maintaining, programming, and operating the Robotic Solutions automation system
Sets up and starts robot automation system, orders finishing material, organizes and prioritizes all upcoming workflow to reduce color changes and maximize robot efficiencies
Changes robot programs and makes final adjustments as needed
Proficient knowledge of software used for the robot arm
Possesses in-depth knowledge of all finish processes and quality standards for our affordable and premium custom product lines
Inspects finished parts to ensure they meet our quality specifications, diagnoses and corrects any problems noted
Performs daily, weekly, and monthly tasks for cleaning and preventive maintenance to keep both the booth and the robot in good working order
Diagnose alarms and problems with line
Correct problems using correct procedures
Communicate and work with paint maintenance technicians for all work needed
Responsible for inspecting for quality and program errors
Adjusts machines as needed for all program changes
Prioritizes hot jobs as required
Notifies paint shed when in need of more finishing materials
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings to understand how parts need to be finished
Receives direction from the leadership and notifies the leadership when more work is needed
Maintains the work area, machinery and tools in a neat, clean and orderly fashion
Follows all safety procedures, rules and guidelines as well as notifies the supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues
Maintains a working knowledge of the various wood species and finish colors and differentiate between them
Makes fundamental mathematical calculations and reads measurement devices, i.e
tape measure, etc
Keep up to date on procedures for all equipment
Communicate with managers and leads about all problems and any potential improvements
Calibrate robots and winner arms
Train others in operation and procedures

Job Summary:
