Looking for freelance artists to run our Paint and Sip sessions Brisbane City. We offer training, with initially starting as a assistant teacher. You would be operating as Freelance contracted business under your ABN artist name.

Teaching Artist responsibilities:

Sip Paint workshops
Lead up to 30 painters step-by-step through a featured painting
Create a fun atmosphere for all participants
Have an outgoing personality and entertain a crowd
Assist participants during the event
Set up and break down the event
Communicate with staff and be a team player
Take photos of event
Promote social accounts and other workshops and classes
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Being a professional and talented teaching artist who is ready, willing, and able to work with clients.
Outgoing personality, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and entertain a group of adult beginner painters in a social atmosphere
Must own a smartphone capable of getting on the internet and/or digital camera

But before beginning your art teacher career, the first step is to practice the paintings you would be teaching.

The Art of Teaching Art
A typical day in the life of an art teacher may begin with a general art paint and sip session, and the next 2 hours may involve working with a group of eager customers who are keen on tips to produce there masterpiece.

You would then learn from the master artist Wesley Taylor his techniques and how to produce amazing artworks.

During this process you would be expected to learn and be able to demonstrate the ability to do similar with a class session of at least 30 people. Learn how to interact with people and how to build confidence with there work.

This involves doing the paintings which you get to keep, learning how to teach and demand an audience of a large group.

Opportunities exist for positions within the Wesley Taylor Art Studios as assistants and teachers who demonstrate the dedication that is required to full fill this Career.

This is a part time job which you would be doing along side your other work or study commitments. Require people who take the position seriously and priorities there work commitments as the sessions run every Friday night, and functions on Saturdays. I looking for a strong long term commitment. Ideally be able to travel to different locations, including the wineries in the hinterland.Own car gives mores shifts as able to get to restaurant locations for events.

Teaching Artist responsibilities:

Part-time hours: 3.5 -15 hours per week

Shifts mainly Friday afternoon, Friday night, Saturday Afternoon and night. Week night shifts as required. (Please do not apply if your not available especially for these Friday night, Saturday shifts)

Position for teachers is required, however we would start you as assistant role before putting you infront of a class to teach. You would only start with small groups.

Job Type: Casual under Contract with ABN small business

ABN registered Artist contract and would be paid equal the sum total inclusive of super. We can discuss this at interview stage. Under ABN you would then be able to claim expenses for taxation. Rates are inclusive of super

New teach rate $37 per hour plus 11.5% = $42 per hour

New assistant rate $34 per hour plus 11.5% = $35 per hour

Sunday $46 per hour plus 11.5% = $51 per hour
