Job Title: OT Pharmacist

Job Summary:

The OT Pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients in the occupational therapy department. They work closely with occupational therapists to ensure that patients receive the appropriate medications and treatments to manage their conditions. The OT Pharmacist also provides education to patients and their families on medication use and potential side effects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop treatment plans for patients
• Review patient medical histories and medication regimens to identify potential drug interactions or contraindications
• Dispense medications and provide instructions on proper use and storage
• Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions and adjust medication regimens as needed
• Provide education to patients and their families on medication use and potential side effects
• Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions
• Stay up-to-date on new medications and treatment options relevant to occupational therapy

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
• Active pharmacy license in the state of practice
• Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in occupational therapy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Knowledge of medication therapy management and drug interactions
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals from different disciplines.
