SCOPE
The Oracle DBA will be responsible for managing data warehouse and ETL processes for Department of Education investigations.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent
• 6+ years of experience with Oracle Databases
• Oracle RAC/ASM administration and tuning
• Oracle Fusion Middleware (OAM, OUD, WebLogic, BI Publisher)
• Advanced SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, Data Pump
• End-to-end ETL pipeline design and automation
• Linux/Windows scripting and PERL
• Oracle security (Database Vault, TDE/Wallet, two-factor auth)
• Data reconciliation and validation methodologies
• SFTP, VPN, encryption/decryption (PKI/GPG)
TASKS
• Run daily automated ETL processes from Department of Education systems
• Maintain Oracle data warehouse supporting investigative and audit functions
• Optimize database performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Create automation scripts and eliminate manual processes
• Schedule ETL jobs during non-business hours
• Generate performance reports and capacity planning
• Document processes and provide technical guidance to junior staff
• Apply patches and upgrades to Oracle stack
• Implement security configurations and access controls
