Roles and Responsibilities
Our team is seeking a skilled professional to ensure the accuracy of our daily financial reports. Key responsibilities include:
Verifying the Profit and Loss (PL) statement in accordance with established policies.
Ensuring that all relevant PL and Balance sheet positions are correctly reported by month-end, and addressing any issues or breaks before closing the ledger.
Producing accurate critical reports for the team, following necessary controls.
Providing analysis and commentary on PL swings and variances to senior finance managers as required.
Responding to ad-hoc queries from business managers and finance management in a timely manner after conducting analytical reviews.
Maintaining adherence to defined controls and identifying control gaps for discussion with stakeholders.
Informing local management and onshore stakeholders about recurring process issues, challenges, and changes.
Understanding the rationale behind Treasury charges and working with business representatives on enhancements.
Updating Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) accurately and timely, and leading discussions with stakeholders.
Taking ownership of covered processes, teams, and deliverables.
Ensuring sufficient backups across teams to reduce key person dependency.
Equipping the team with technical and interpersonal skills, identifying training gaps, and addressing them promptly.
Proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing agreed-upon changes after approvals.
Independently handling internal and external audit requests and working towards closing audit findings.
