Team Overview:
Are you detail oriented with good organizational skills? Do you enjoy a processing atmosphere combined with a great degree of client service? If so, you may be an ideal candidate for the open position of Operations Specialist II at Edward Jones.

Operations responsibilities include processing numerous documents in a timely and efficient manner, working with various firm and industry systems and enjoys process improvement and automation of technology. If you enjoy working with branch offices and other departments, this may be an ideal career move for you.
What You'll Do:
Be a part of the External Transfers Team, processing ATON and Non-ATON Transfers in and out of Edward Jones.
Responsible for effectively processing routine and non-routine activities/transactions by drawing on multiple information sources and understanding multiple effects of a transaction. Activities may not follow a pre-determined path, rather will require discretion and use of judgment. Functions may include, but are not limited to: verifying documents for completeness, adjustments to customer and/or firm accounts, performing calculations relating to exceptions and corrections, and be able to effectively communicate with financial advisors, internal headquarter associates and vendors. Processes managed will be within the product lines of Mutual Funds, Insurance, Equities and Fixed Income, and GIC's.
Requires basic understanding of the brokerage industry and knowledge of area systems, processes and procedures including those of related departments and divisions
Serve as functional subject matter expert to others, both within and outside of the area
Handle escalated issues on their respective functions requiring in-depth research, communication with other areas of the firm and/or outside contact and work directly with the branch on resolution

Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic ADD coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic ADD coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All associates are eligible for the firm's Employee Assistance Program. Hiring Maximum: $83700

What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Related industry courses are an asset but not required.
1-2 years experience in an operations/processing position in the brokerage, banking or financial services industries is strongly preferred
Must be able to demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality to ensure department goals and deadlines are met or exceeded
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to apply procedures and guidelines consistently is required. Must have ability to make proper judgement calls based on analysis of available information
Experience with Microsoft office tools and spreadsheets is required

**Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
