Operations Executive – Design Studio (Admin Office Management)
Job description
Brilliant opportunity to step into a pivotal support role at a renowned global design studio based in Central London.
This award-winning interior design consultancy, known for its world-class portfolio of high-end hospitality and residential projects, is looking for a reliable and highly organised Operations Executive to join their close-knit team. While a background in design or architecture is welcome, it’s not essential—what matters here is professionalism, maturity, and the ability to get things done.
This is a fantastic career-launching opportunity for someone looking for long-term stability, with the chance to grow into an Office Manager role and take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the studio.
The Operations Executive Role
You’ll be the go-to person for all things operational, supporting the smooth running of the London studio and becoming a key part of the wider business. You’ll be managing diaries, organising travel, coordinating facilities, and helping with everything from holiday tracking to company events.
In your first month, you'll be fully office-based to learn the ropes hands-on, then transition to 1 day WFH (Wednesday or Thursday).
This position is a replacement hire—stepping into a crucial role that needs someone dependable and committed, with the professionalism to match the calibre of the design work being done.
Key Responsibilities for this Operations Executive Role
• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day operational activities
• Arrange travel bookings, couriers, and mail distribution
• Monitor and maintain absence, annual leave and sickness records
• Track and manage employee expense reports
• Liaise with suppliers, building management, and contractors for office maintenance
• Organise team socials, internal events, and company functions
• Provide general admin and ad hoc support across the team
Who You Are
• You have 2–3+ years of experience in operations or administrative support
• You're confident, reliable and incredibly well-organised
• You’re calm under pressure, and love getting stuck into the detail
• You thrive in a professional, dynamic studio environment
• You’re comfortable juggling priorities independently
• You’re a strong communicator and a natural team player
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
What’s in It for You?
• Stunning central London studio
• 1 day WFH (after training period)
• Great culture – collaborative, global, and respected
• Progression to Office Manager in the near future
