About the Opportunity:
Ochsner Health System is seeking a skilled Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in promoting health and safety among employees by developing and implementing effective employee health programs. These programs will focus on disease detection, prevention, and treatment initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient care using evidence-based practices and protocols. They will follow up on employee illnesses and injuries, provide guidance and support to colleagues, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. A strong understanding of the nursing process and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care are essential requirements for this role.
Requirements:
A Registered nurse diploma is required, with an Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Three years of clinical, occupational health, and/or employee health experience are also necessary. Current registered nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice and Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association are mandatory. Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Occupational Health certification are highly desirable.
