Nurse
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Care:
• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
• Assess and document patients' medical histories, symptoms, and progress.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patients' needs and medical conditions.
• Assist with diagnostic tests, analyze results, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop appropriate care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and ongoing care requirements.
• Clinical Procedures:
• Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, catheterization, IV insertion, and other specialized tasks as required.
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Assist physicians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
• Ensure that all medical equipment is properly sterilized, maintained, and utilized.
• Patient Advocacy:
• Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that patients’ rights and needs are respected and addressed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing emotional support and guidance as needed.
• Coordinate patient care with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
• Documentation Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient charts, medication logs, and treatment plans.
• Document all nursing interventions, patient responses, and any changes in the patient’s condition.
• Ensure that all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards.
• Safety Compliance:
• Follow all hospital or healthcare facility policies, procedures, and protocols, including infection control and safety guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care standards.
• Report any incidents, errors, or safety concerns to the appropriate authorities.
• Professional Development:
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities to stay current with nursing best practices and advancements in healthcare.
• Attend regular staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and improve nursing practices.
