NOTICE OF NON-UNION VACANCY
POSITION: Human Resources Coordinator - WSIB / Disability Management
LOCATION: CATHOLIC EDUCATION CENTRE
SALARY: $85,852 – $+2,62+
Reporting to the Superintendent of Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator - WSIB / Disability Management will be responsible for the following duties:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate, implement and evaluate proactive and cost-effective workplace safety and disability management programs and attendance support programs.
Administer all aspects of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) claims process, from initial reporting to return-to-work planning.
Liaise with School Board Co-Operative Inc. on a regular basis as it relates to ongoing claims, hearings and appeals.
Collaborate with HR Coordinators on disability claims (short-term and long-term), ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
Facilitate safe return to work programs for employees through collaboration with, workers, union/association representatives, managers/supervisors, and relevant health care professionals.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records related to WSIB, health and safety, and disability management.
Participate as a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee
Input data in the online reporting tool for behaviour tracker and workplace violence and generate required reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
University Degree/Post-secondary diploma in Human Resources Management, Health Sciences or related field.
Specialized training in WSIB claims management; disability management; dispute resolution, health and safety or equivalent in actual related experience.
Three years of proven experience in administering WSIB and disability management programs, preferably within the public sector or a large unionized environment.
A strong understanding of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, relevant provincial human rights legislation, Occupational Health and Safety and accessibility standards.
Excellent organizational, planning, communication and interpersonal skills.
Superior computer skills, including proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Excel, Parklane and K212.
